1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, accessing, or using MATTRS, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the MATTRS Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use MATTRS.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these terms and use MATTRS in compliance with applicable law. MATTRS is intended for personal use by the person using the device.
3. License and permitted use
Subject to these terms, MATTRS grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and related services for your own personal, non-commercial use on devices you control.
MATTRS is designed to help individuals manage distractions on their own devices by completing goals based on progress or a schedule.
4. Prohibited use
You may not use MATTRS:
- to manage another adult individual’s device without authorization
- for organizational or enterprise device management
- for advertising, ad measurement, or data-broker activity
- to interfere with, reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the service
- in violation of Apple’s platform rules or any applicable law
5. Subscriptions and billing
You may explore MATTRS and build a goal without Premium, but an active Premium entitlement is required to start a goal and begin blocking. MATTRS offers subscriptions through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Available plans, prices, and introductory-offer eligibility are shown in Apple’s purchase flow. Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling are managed by Apple according to your App Store account terms and Apple’s policies.
6. Accounts
MATTRS uses Sign in with Apple to create an account before a goal can start. Account-backed storage can restore goal configuration and completion history after reinstall. Apple Screen Time app and website selections remain device-specific and may need to be selected again.
You are responsible for maintaining access to the Apple account used with MATTRS. Signing out does not delete local goals or your MATTRS account. You can initiate account deletion in MATTRS Settings.
7. Disclaimers
MATTRS is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. MATTRS does not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every use case.
MATTRS is a focus and productivity tool. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not replace professional healthcare, mental health, or wellness guidance.
MATTRS also does not guarantee any particular personal productivity, fitness, or behavioral outcome.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Michael Perez and its operators, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of MATTRS.
9. Termination
MATTRS may suspend or terminate access to the service if necessary to protect the service, meet legal obligations, or respond to misuse. You may stop using MATTRS at any time. Deleting the app does not delete account-backed data; use Delete account in MATTRS Settings to initiate account-data deletion, and separately cancel any active subscription through Apple if applicable.
10. Changes to the service or terms
MATTRS may update the app, these terms, or related policies from time to time. Continued use of MATTRS after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.
